2014.08.27-09.06 in Peru with 6 awesome travel buddies.
A 2-day tour of Cusco, Koricancha, Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Tambomachay, Sacred Valley, Pisac Market, Pisac Ruins, Ollantaytambo, and Chincheros. Then a 7-day hike on the Salkantay - Inca Trail to Machu Picchu with Llama Path. What an experience!
Over the 7 days, we hiked a total of 127 km/79 miles/200k steps, up and down 3 mountains with our highest altitude at 5100 m/17k feet! We experienced rain, thunderstorm, snow, hail, fog, clear sunny skies along with various sorts of illness and lots of fun times! Definitely a trip that we'll never forget :)
It was also my first time traveling with the Fujifilm X-T1 (XF 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 OIS WR and XF 27mm f/2.8). Worked out pretty well - light and convenient!
